selectively heating dark target matter, melanin, in the area that
causes hair growth, the follicle, while not heating the rest of the
skin. The energy absorption of hair follicle melanin is strongest
at 808nm wavelength, which can damage the hair follicles
effectively, meanwhile no adverse reaction to the skin surface.
Q-switch nd yag laser can be absorbed by the blue and black
melanin. The melanin will split into even more tiny particles. They
are so small that they can be metabolized by the lymphatic system
and be egested out of the body. Thus the tattoo or other
pigmentations will be removed without any injury to normal tissue.
